I've fixed a few of the problems you folks have identified.

The F77 does not produce numbers to as many decimal places
The validator is more flexible and should now be happy with *Nix vs Windows generated numbers
I've supplemented the checkpointing with my own so we can really see what is happening
Moved up to the m1.small AWS instance

The weird time estimates on the wrapper is proving a thorny one.

I've got a WU running on a 6.10.60 version of BOINC and it seems OK compared to everything I've run on 5.10.45. It would be great if it could be fixed for version 5.x though.

Cheers,

Al.

@Kevin !

I downloaded some 2.00 ones to one of my boxes. The server sent out 3 wu's
to 3 users, but the most of them was sent twice to me, to the same box ???

And I can see those double wu's in the Boinc client with different last number
of course.

Please check out my box and look at computers under those 2.00 tasks.

Tested 2.00 on another comp and the same happened with it, got 2 of the 3 copies
sent to the same machine.

I think you have missed some settings that prevents the server from sending more
than one copy of the wu to the same computer.

I worst cases the user have to run the same wu twice and also verifying the wu with the same computer, not good for the project.

This did not happen with the 1.02 version, perhapps some of you guys can give a clue how to solve it ?

Any news? :)

Odd that it works in opposite ways on linux and Windows. Windows keeps resetting, linux ramps up like it's a time machine.

Not a big deal if it only affects older BOINC versions, I'll just have to limit my involvement to one host and leave the rest of the farm for other projects :)

Cheers,

Al.
